This course provides students with a critical and historical understanding of cultural policy in Australia, different models of funding and government intervention through a series of national and global case studies. Students will learn how to evaluate cultural policy, question what constitutes an 'Australian Story' and who gets to tell them, and develop an understanding of the policy ecosystem surrounding them.
