To enable students to develop foundational understanding of and practical skills for use in news-based scriptwriting, audio and video production and editing, and an understanding of the importance of narrative in broadcast storytelling. Through developing news gathering, writing and broadcast skills – generating broadcast story ideas, conducting interviews, recording voice-overs and vision – students use software to edit and create a range of audio and video news stories.
