This course will provide students with an overview of the history and scope of urban and regional planning and to contemporary issues in planning theory and practice. Students will develop an understanding of the historical development of urban and regional planning including the economic, social and cultural processes shaping urban and regional development, contemporary approaches to planning, and alternative planning histories.
